Our Soul is like ‘mixed memories’ soup. It is so wonderful!   It holds even the smallest imprint of time we shared with so many of them. Life is made of these tiny precious memories of our parents, grand parents, things they shard with us, home, town, we lived in, school near by we used to go every day, teachers, streets, friends, neighbors and so many. Each one of them has made it tastier!
It is true that you should not dwell in past. But the secret is stir it occasionally and enjoy its flavor! trust me that is very refreshing!!

Ingredients:

  • 4 cups of finely chopped methi leaves
  • 8 -9 oz. of toor dal (pigeon lentils)
  • 11/2 tsp. organic garlic paste
  • 1 cup of chopped organic tomato
  • 3 oz. shredded fresh coconut
  • 2 oz. roasted peanuts ground
  • 1 tsp. roasted jeera powder
  • Green chilies and red chili powder
  • 1 tbsp. chopped jaggery
  • Oil
  • Hing (asafetida)
  • Turmeric powder

  • Method: Wash toor dal. Add twice of water and pinch of hing and turmeric in it. Cook it in the pressure cooker. Some times toor dal takes long time to cook so you can soak it for few hours before cooking it. It helps to cook faster.

Now prepare rest of the ingredients ready.

  • Wash and cut methi leaves, Rinse and wash it for few times to get rid of the pesticides. Finely chop them. Add 1 tbsp. oil in the pan and sauté methi on very low heat. Cover the pan with lid. We are not going to cook it a lot. Very lightly cooked)
  • Grind the following ingredients to paste; coconut, green chili, garlic, peanuts, jeera, tomato and jaggery
  • Now in pan, add cooked toor dal and paste. Sauté it to make sure it is well mixed and doesn't stick to the pan.
  • In tadka kadai, put 2 tbsp. oil for tadka. Once the oil become hot (don't increase the flame to high it will burn the oil.) Now add some1/4 tsp. mustard seeds, and 3 pinches of hing and turmeric and red chili (as per your taste)
  • Put tadka on mixture. You can add water if you want.
  • Add salt to taste.
  • Cover the pan lid, reduce the heat and let it cook for few minutes.
Notes:
Follow the hyper link of fenugreek for health benefits. I love its aroma.

If I don’t have tomato, I will add lemon juice. As 1 serving of methi has 20% daily iron required and iron gets absorb well with vitamin C.

One thing I love about greens that each of them unique flavor. Methi has very nice aroma. So dried leaves are used in Indian kitchen to enhance flavors of other dishes.

Our Soul

This technique has now seen extensive use in certain games, used by server owners, or disgruntled competitors on games, such as popularMinecraft multiplayer worlds, known as servers. Increasingly, DoS attacks have also been used as a form of resistance. Richard Stallmanhas stated that DoS is a form of 'Internet Street Protests’.[4] The term is generally used relating to computer networks, but is not limited to this field; for example, it is also used in reference to CPU resource management.[

fenugreek dal / methi dal

Some words on Valentine's Day

In emails and on cards,
         Words just blast,
Why 'love' should broadcast?

                   Movie dialogues and Love songs,
                   Blabber it a lot,
                   Is ‘love’ that abundant?

Real Love is…
 Giving without asking,
  Realizing it without saying,
   Cherishing forever
Just one moment of real love

                   If you don’t get it….
                   Making a statement,
                   how good is detachment 😜

John Stamos visits ‘Full House’ home, goes unnoticed by fans: ‘These youngsters have (no) idea what they’re missing’

Some times I wonder...

Some times I wonder,
What is day and night?
Just the dark and bright...

Some times I wonder,
Does the Horizon really exist?
Or just a grey passage to transit....

Some times I wonder,
What is losing someone?
Trying to hold so close,
In empty embrace,
Inhaling warm memories....

Some times I wonder,
What is death and life?
Looking so crystal clear,
And fade away like a thin air,

Like never exist....

I wrote it few years ago when I lost my best friend. It felt like part of me died.  I miss her because we have a lot of good memories together. We always were there for each other through all thick and thin. The God is offering us every new  day an opportunity to create the same with our loved ones.

cast iron

Cast Iron Skillet

Cast iron pots and skillets are the best possible options for cooking.

An American Dietetic Association study found that cast iron cookware could leach significant amounts of dietary iron into food. The amounts of iron absorbed varied greatly depending on the food, its acidity, its water content, how long it was cooked, and how old the cookware is.

You can actually boost your iron intake from eating food cooked in cast iron cookware. This vital mineral is crucial for maintaining energy levels, and it helps strengthen immune systems.

Aluminum and non-stick skillets have its adverse effects on our health. The only disadvantages are that cast iron is heavy (look for skillets with handles on both sides) and it requires a bit of care to keep it seasoned and looking nice.

Other benefits

Well seasoned, it is nearly as nonstick as long as it is properly seasoned and cared for.
Cast iron skillet is very inexpensive. You will get it around $20 to $30.
It has been used for thousands of years.

It has been used for hundreds of years.
It enhances the flavor while cooking and also gives nice brown golden color.
